Interrogative pronouns are used when asking about a person, thing, or choice. They are one type of what people often learn as "question words".

Vad

Vad means what.

Vad gör du?What are you doing?

Vad vill du ha?What do you want?

Vem

Vem means who and is used when asking about people.

Vem ringde dig?Who called you?

Vem pratar du med?Who are you talking to?

Vilken, vilket and vilka

Vilken, vilket, and vilka are used when asking which person or thing is meant.

The form depends on the noun:
