What are conjunctions?
Conjunctions connect words, phrases, or clauses that have the same grammatical function.

| för | because, for | Jag gick hem, för jag var trött.I went home because I was tired. |
| så | so | Jag var trött, så jag gick hem.I was tired, so I went home. |
| samt | and, as well as | Priset inkluderar frukost samt kaffe och te.The price includes breakfast as well as coffee and tea. |
Samt is similar to och, but is mainly used in more formal written Swedish and often to avoid repetition of och.
Utan is not simply another word for men. It is used when a negated alternative is replaced by another one.
